Congratulations to MTI Champion Jay Schickling, Chemours, for leading and completing the Ceramics training project, Condition Assessment and Repair of Refractory Systems, on Monday, June 17, 2019.
The successful one-day training session focused on condition assessment, failure analysis and repair techniques of refractory lined vessels and ceramic components. It included a morning visit to the Harbison-Walker International Advanced Technology and Research Center (ATRC) with gunnite and casting demonstrations and a tour of the analytical lab. The afternoon training program offered presentations and case studies on failures.
