St. Louis, MO – The Materials Technology Institute (MTI) has canceled the Spring AsiaTAC Meeting scheduled for the week of May 25, 2020 in Vietnam due to the impact of COVID-19 in the region.
The committee has been monitoring the situation closely since reports of the virus spreading in China and the region. The meeting, which was originally scheduled April 8-10, 2020, was postponed until May. As the situation has continued to grow, the committee announced it will cancel the event this year and plan to instead visit Vietnam for the Spring 2021 meeting.
The Fall AsiaTAC Meeting is currently scheduled for September 2020 near Shanghai, China. More information about the event and status will be available in the coming months.
