ST. LOUIS, MO – The Materials Technology Institute (MTI) is pleased to announce the recent hire of Daniel Rasmussen as the Membership Communications and Marketing Manager, a new position within the organization.

Rasmussen will be an integral part of the communications and marketing team and will manage, execute, monitor and measure the association’s membership engagement efforts. His primary responsibilities include market research on prospective members to improve MTI outreach, managing the member ambassador and mentor match programs, and updating and managing the organization’s membership database. In addition, he will work closely with the Director of Communications and the Director of Marketing to help maintain the MTI website, social media channels, contribute to marketing materials and content for communications, assist at trade shows to promote the MTI brand and membership and other various tasks to support the organization's efforts.

“Daniel has extensive experience in the corporate marketing research field,” remarks Byron Keelin, Director of Operations. “He will be a great asset in these trying times in helping MTI learn more about our current members and what they value about MTI and help MTI market our value to prospective members.”

A graduate of the University of Missouri (August 2019), Rasmussen obtained an international business dual degree. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and a bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a Spanish emphasis. Since graduating, Rasmussen worked as a Marketing and Communications Intern at Standing Partnership in St. Louis, Mo. from October 2019 – May 2020, which helped him gain relevant experience and further his skills.

MTI is looking forward to his contributions and the experience he brings to the organization’s collaborative efforts when he begins in early September.

“Collaboration in an organization is vital to its success,” Rasmussen comments. “As a new employee, I hope to soak up all the information from longer-standing employees and to be able to contribute new ideas I have gained throughout my experience that the team might not have previously thought of. I can't wait to join an organization that values collaboration and to grow with the team!”

Please help us welcome Daniel as he takes on his role at MTI.
