TRACK: Emerging Technology
The ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) sets the standard for the safe design and manufacture of boilers and pressure vessels.  Every two years this code is revised to keep up with current technology and information available. Some of the changes have little effect on industry while other seemingly small changes can cause a large ripple effect. It is important that all who are involved in working with the ASME BPVC know the current code changes and updates, have an understanding of why the revisions were made, and determine how they will affect their company business. Join us to hear: A brief history of the origins of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) and the National Board Inspection Code; A brief overview of the current sections of the ASME BPVC; Recent revisions and updates in the last few years of the ASME BVPC, with a main focus of changes in ASME Section II and ASME Section VIII, Division 1; and a summary of possible future changes to the ASME BPVC.
