Rolled Alloys has long supplied product into the flare tip industry. As Paul has already suggested, stainless alloys 309 & 310 are common base materials used in many flares. As the environment becomes more aggressive, higher amounts of nickel and chrome, and other alloying elements become necessary.
RA330 is often used, for its good oxidation resistance, and moderate strength. It also provides good results where thermal shock (or thermal fatigue) is a concern.
For higher temperatures, customers tend to migrate toward alloy 600 or RA602CA.
Higher alloyed materials, like RA333 provide better service where corrosive media are present, and/or conditions can range from oxidizing to reducing

Subject: Acid flare system material selection
Dear all,
Regarding material selection of flare tip of acid flare system which flare gases from refinery SRU and acid gas removal unit, can you kindly advise the optimum material to be used. Also if any one has specified SS309.
Also, please advise if any valuable resources can be used while selection of materials for flare system in addition to API 537
