Reactive metals, such as titanium and zirconium, are used in a wide variety of chemical applications. Reactive metal equipment is often chosen over the common materials of construction in severe conditions and environments because of the need for improved corrosion resistance, longer equipment life, reduce maintenance and elimination of downtime. Although these materials exhibit excellent corrosion resistance, the equipment must be periodically cleaned and inspected to insure a long, trouble free service life. During equipment cleaning, it is important that the proper methods are used which will not damage the equipment. If it is found during inspection that repair is immanent, it is important that the appropriate methods are used to repair the equipment.
This webinar will help engineers: (1) Determine what options can be chosen to safely clean reactive metals equipment. 2) What to look for during inspection of the chemical equipment. (3) Understand the proper methods for repair of this equipment, when needed.
