Ajit Mishra is a Materials Engineering Consultant at Corteva. Before Corteva, Ajit worked as a Senior Staff Engineer, Applications Development Manager and Senior Applications Development Manager at Haynes International (IN, US) for six years, and as a Senior Corrosion Engineer at the Toyota Technical Center (Belgium) for one year.
Ajit is active in various professional societies as a symposium organizer, chairing committees and reviewer/guest-editor for peer-reviewed journals. He is the current Vice-Chair of NACE STG 39 (Process Industries – Materials Applications and Experiences) and ex-Chair of STG 36 (Process Industries – Materials Performance in Chemicals), TEG 407X (Localized Corrosion) and TG 217 (Design, Fabrication, and Inspection of Tanks for the Storage of Concentrated Sulfuric Acid and Oleum at Ambient Temperatures). Ajit is also a reviewer for NACE 5A171 standard (Materials for Receiving, Handling and Storing Hydrofluoric Acid) and RP0391 standard (Materials for the Handling and Storage of Commercial Concentrated Sulfuric Acid at Ambient Temperatures). Ajit has published 35+ manuscripts in journals and conferences and is a co-inventor of an alloy patent.
Ajit has a PhD degree in Chemistry from University of Western Ontario (Canada), MS from Ohio State University (US) in Materials Science and Engineering and an undergraduate degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (India).
