I have been working as a Materials Engineer for 7+ years. My responsibilities include failure analysis, material selection and consultation. My background is metallurgy, but I have also been trained on polymeric materials as well as materials' oxygen compatibility.
I am often impressed by breadth and depth of the knowledge showed by the members on this forum. I am interested in learning how an engineer in materials' function, which is often a relatively narrow area (compared with more versatile chemical engineering), can excel on the technical ladder.
