The potential project P91 Steel Welding Guidance (374) will be closed at this time because we have not been able to make progress on moving it forward within MTI. There has been considerable activity in API on the P91 steel topic. API is close to issuing a new edition of API 582 4
th edition that includes a new annex with P91 welding guidance. API 938-B on P91 steel is being updated and expect a new edition to be available soon. The suggestion of project team members who know of this API work is that we table this potential MTI project on P91 steel and revisit it in a year or so later when we better identify information/technology gaps in the revised API documents. We plan on keeping this potential project idea on the list of Metals PDC project ideas to consider for future MTI activity. I have included the comments/recommendations of the champion, Ivan Morales, and team members Jorge Penso and John Houben regarding this topic.
