    The venue for the 2026 EuroTAC Spring Meeting is settled. Air Liquide is welcoming the members back to Les Loges-en-Josas south of Paris. Plant visits are planned to Paralloy/Manoir in Pîtres - a manufacturer of high precision centrifugally cast alloys -  and to the Centre des Matériaux de Mines Paris in Versailles. 
     
    If you would like to be part of the planning committee - identifying meeting topics, external speakers and team activities - then you are most welcome to reach out to EuroTAC associate director Asger Sturlason.

  • Fiber-Optic Temperature Monitoring in High-Temperature Chemical Processes #408

    This MTI project explores the potential for the application of fiber-optic sensors for monitoring temperature in high temperature applications such as reformer furnaces, reactors, and fired heaters used by MTI member companies. Fiber-optic sensors have been successfully used in difficult environments with advantages including small size, immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI), chemical corrosion resistance, high sensitivity, and capability for remote operation.  This presentation will review the results of Phase 1 of this two phase project aimed at evaluating the performance of different types of sensors and sensor mounting options relevant to CPI equipment.
