Hi Kumar,
As stated by Dale, there won't be any special surface prep required, but thats not your real challenge. The issue is to ensure that the leak is fully isolated from the wrap as its being installed. It's quite a skilled job, and some repair installers are better than others with the use of leak diversion lines. This stuff isn't covered in PCC-2 or ISO24817, so I would be looking to find an installer with plenty of experience with online seal repairing. 99%+ of the wrap repairs that fail are ones over leaking defects.

Subject: FRP wrapping over CFRP Wrapping
Good day Peers,
We are recently facing a underground FRP piping (60") leak issue, one of the repair suggestions is to fix the leak with CFRP wrapping, applied on line to arrest the leak, followed by application of FRP wrapping, the wrapping contains totally 16 layers, anticipated thickness of wrapping 20mm. Here my query is
is anyone having past experience such as CFRP wrapping over FRP lamination, if yes then what will be the preparation guideline, Any reference standard available in this repair approach.
