event. MENA-TAC is a three-day event featuring a two-day In-Service FRP Training Program and a special one-day Chemical
Processing Industry Roundtable to learn about materials challenges in the Middle East and North Africa.

Materials Technology Institute (MTI) is sponsoring a two-day training program on Inspection of In-Service FRP Equipment & Piping. This unique program will provide a comprehensive overview of the areas that are of critical importance for evaluating the quality and conformance of plant FRP equipment and piping, as well as providing some basis around Fitness for Service.

The classroom session is intended for plant, engineering or materials personnel and inspectors, desiring to improve their knowledge and understanding with respect to in-service FRP inspections. A team of practicing industrial subject matter experts will cover the following topics in this program:

  • Materials / Design / Fabrication
  • Inspection Practices / Inspection Philosophy
  • Failure Modes & Condition Assessment
  • Visual Inspection / Remote Visual Inspection
  • Fitness For Service
  • NDE / NDT / Destructive & Analytical Testing

chemical process industries refiners roundtable

MTI is hosting its first Chemical Processing Industry Roundtable in the Middle East/North African region. The meeting will be a discussion on several key materials challenges facing the CPI industry. This meeting is open to all member and non-member producers in the CPI and refining industry. The event will be held on April 4, 2019 at the Al Reem Hotel,
Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The Roundtable will feature technical presentations and panel discussions on the following topics:

  • Managing Aging Assets
  • Inspection/Management of CUI
  • Detecting and Testing of HTHA
  • Selection and Evaluating Suppliers for Supply and Repair of Nonmetallic PCE and Piping for Chemical Service
  • Networking and Social Hour
The meeting will also include a discussion on Materials Challenges within the CPI Industry.

Cancellation Refund Policy: Refunds for registrations cancelled before the refund deadline will be for all meeting charges minus a $15 cancellation fee. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER THE REFUND DEADLINE. The refund deadline is March 18, 2019.
