Upgrading Technology and Addressing Challenges in the CPI

Meeting Information

The MTI Global Solutions Symposium 2020 is a technical two-day conference focusing on Upgrading Technology and Addressing Challenges in the CPI. The event features tracks on aging infrastructure and plant management, and a program on utilizing subject matter experts and knowledge transfer.

Participants will have the opportunity to attend a variety sessions and panels with topics in Emerging Technology, Turnarounds, High Temperature Hydrogen Attack (HTHA), Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI), Knowledge Management and Case Studies.

In addition, MTI is offering exhibit space for vendors to display and promote their products and/or services to attendees.

Both MTI members and non-members are welcome to participate as speakers, exhibitors and attendees.


Call for Presentations

The steering committee for the MTI Global Solutions Symposium 2020 invites experts from all aspects of the processing industries to submit an abstract for a technical presentation focused around any of our session topics. Formal papers are not required. Speakers will receive discounted meeting registration!

abstract submission guidelines

  • 100-200 words (formal papers note required)
  • Relevant title
  • Clearly outline presentation topic and scope
  • Technical-based, no commercial or marketing content
  • Speaker contact information: name, title, company, email and phone
  • Presentations should be 30 minutes including Q&A


  • Approved abstract submissions due August 15, 2019
    • Must have presentation clearance and travel permission from your management to be considered an approved abstract.
  • Final presentations must be submitted by January 1, 2020.

Meeting fees and registration will be announced at a later date. Please check back for updates.

mti Policies

Late Meeting Registration Fee: Attendees registering on or after (TBA) will be assessed a $25 late registration fee. 

Cancellation Refund Policy: Refunds for registrations cancelled before the refund deadline will be for all meeting charges minus a $15 cancellation fee. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER THE REFUND DEADLINE. The refund deadline is (TBA).
