Jerold (Jerry) Lebold

Jerry Lebold is the Senior Vice President and General Manager for BASF’s largest North American manufacturing site in Geismar, Louisiana. He is responsible for Geismar Operations including 27 plants that manufacture many different products including urethanes used in foam insulation, shoes, and furniture; chemical intermediates used in adhesives, coatings, plastics, water and gas treatment; and surfactants used in detergents. Since the move into his current role in 2019, Jerry serves on the board of directors for the Louisiana Chemical Association, Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance and Louisiana Association of Business & Industry. Jerry is married and lives in Baton Rouge with his wife and two daughters. His hobbies include restoring old cars and motorcycles.

In her fourth book in her series on knowledge management, Retaining Expert Knowledge: What to Keep in an Age of Information Overload published in 2018 by C&C Press, Peggy explores the value of expertise to your organization, why it is important to capture critical knowledge, how to retain it and how to choose what’s important in an age of exploding information. Peggy has presented workshops on how to work with subject matter experts at conferences, inside organizations and on webinars. In her early career, she was a daily newspaper journalist covering government and politics. Since then, she has been writing B2B materials for industry, especially in the pharmaceutical sector, with a focus on reimbursement, manufacturing quality and strategic planning. She earned an MBA with a concentration in economics and strategy.
