MTI Announces New Staff Changes

ST. LOUIS, MO – The Materials Technology Institute is announcing new staff changes effective immediately. Lindsey Skinner, current Communications and Publications Manager, will become the new Director of Communications and Business Development and Kirk Richardson, current Director of Marketing, will become the new Director of Marketing and Sales. 

Lindsey_Skinner2018-cropped.jpgAs Director of Communications and Business Development, Skinner will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of all the organization’s marketing communications and public relations activities, both external and internal. She will assume the editor’s role for the MTI CONNECT Magazine and annual report, and will also be responsible for writing, editing and managing all content for MTI’s website, e-mail campaigns, and social media channels. Skinner will continue to manage the production and distribution of MTI project publications. 

Richardson_Kirk_2.jpgAs Director of Marketing and Sales, Richardson will be responsible for developing the plan to market MTI’s products including memberships, advertising, exhibitors, sponsors, publications and educational products. This change in responsibility means that in addition to marketing, he will be leading the effort to generate sales of our products to meet our sales goals. His leadership will be especially important for the success of the new MTI Global Solutions Symposium and the MTI CONNECT Magazine. Richardson will also be responsible for the marketing of the MTI Value Award and continue to be the lead staff person for the Knowledge Management PDC.

Both Skinner and Richardson will continue to work with the entire MTI Staff to identify new products and/or services to increase membership value.

“These changes allow MTI to better address membership recruitment and expand the use of MTI products while giving MTI the ability to maximize the strengths of our staff,” said Paul Whitcraft, MTI Executive Director.
