I echo Mr. Bernhard Rijpkema's idea of this being PP. I have worked on polypropylene lined fitting failures that developed due to severe temperature cycles. The idea would be easy to check: if you place a small section of the failed liner in distilled water, it should float (density <1). Instead, PTFE and PFA sink very quickly (density >2).

Also the lining thickness looks to be too high.
