MTI Accepting Applications for North American-Based Associate Director

The Materials Technology Institute (MTI) is seeking candidates for Associate Director. The Associate Director (AD) reports to the Executive Director. This individual must be capable of functioning independently within areas of responsibility while keeping the Executive Director informed. Weekly time commitment will vary between 25% -100% of full time, averaging at least 50% over time. This North American based opportunity requires attendance at all three AmeriTAC meetings each year and the Annual Members’ Meeting.

 

The Associate Director must demonstrate a successful history in all aspects of project management. At MTI, the AD will work with Project Champions and team members to schedule meetings, develop proposals, evaluate contractors, and manage progress. An engineering or material science degree is highly desired. For this position, practical process industry experience is most desirable. 

 

An Associate Director must possess the ability to interact constructively with diverse personalities and cultures and establish mutual respect. Effective communication skills – both written and verbal are essential. The dispersed nature of the organization dictates that the Associate Director have good computer skills including word processing, e-mail, file transfers, internet transactions, etc. Working from their own home office, they must have the ability to function independently with minimal direction.
